Why 4/4/24? When Alex and Dalton first started dating they talked about everything important up front: what they were looking for in a relationship, what they wanted to do after graduation, what kind of people they wanted to be, and yes, even how many kids they want in the future. During one of these discussions Alex jokingly threw out that if they made it to the marriage stage they should get married on 3/3/23, Dalton thought that was much too soon and suggested 4/4/24. The date was then marked in both their calendars and the rest is history.
Alex and Dalton's paths crossed a few times before any moves were made. The first time was at a sorority/fraternity mixer where Alex spotted Dalton on the dance floor. He wore his famous captain's hat, his Hawaiian shirt was completely unbuttoned, and he was trying to spin a pool floaty like a hula hoop around his waist. She was entranced but too shy to talk to him. The next time they met was at their mutual friend Maddie's game night where their first one-on-one conversation happened; a yelling-across-the-room "fight" because Dalton left the toilet seat up. They finally started actually getting to know each other after matching on Tinder in Sept. 2020; Dalton said he wished to take things slow. They officially became a couple on Oct. 4th, 2020.
After dating for nearly two years Alex and Dalton both graduated from the University of Florida in May of 2022. Shortly after in August of 2022, they moved to Knoxville Tennessee together. They brought their cat Snoopy with them and shortly after, in January of 2023 adopted a Labradoodle named Bailey. On Oct. 4th, 2023 they celebrated their third year together. They have spent this year planning and preparing for their wedding and are so excited to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter with all of their family and friends!
